MET Singers

The MET Singers are an extraordinary honor choir that showcases the talent and quality education instilled in students participating in our program. Founded in 1997, The MET Singers Honor Choir consists of up to 75 students in grades 4 – 12 from public, private, charter and home school settings. Under the direction of Margaret Campbelle Holman and an all-volunteer faculty, The MET Singers have performed regularly with The Nashville Symphony Orchestra, lending its voices to the annual Let Freedom Sing concert honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Other regular collaborations include Upon These Shoulders with Intersection Contemporary Ensemble, Music in My Neighborhood student showcase with the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando program, and much more.

The MET Singers season comprises of three performance tracks, with the Winter and Spring tracks culminating in community concerts with community partners:

  • Fall/Winter Track (October-January) – Let Freedom Sing with the Nashville Symphony
  • Spring Track (January-April) – Spring performance (artistic partner varies)
  • Summer Series (April-May) – Casual, one-day music-making workshops with a variety of local artists and educators.

Rehearsals are held weekly on Monday evenings from 6PM to 9PM at [location], with additional rehearsals and retreats held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and other locations to be announced.
